I'm not an authority on shocks, but my car has sachs on the rear
and bilsteins on the front - I hate it! My suspicion is that it is always
better to stay with a single brand on all four wheels. I'm certain the
engineers that design a bilstein strut fo' the 9000 use that in their
design for the rear shocks, also. In my case, I'll have to remove the
shocks and the springs. I'm thinking of putting the original springs
('92), except new, w/bilsteins. I've always used shox.com - front
struts were only $120/each - about half of what Saab gets.
