o-rings on heater core out to hoses? Posted by Ryan [Email] (#2222) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Ryan) on Mon, 31 Dec 2001 15:42:28 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
i left work friday to find coolant puddling under my 90 9Ks. it was dripping out of the drains from the "aquarium" at a slow rate. i topped off the coolant in the expansion tank, drove home, and went to work finding out what had happened. the heater core was replace about 16 months ago. i found that the lower hose to the heater core had almost completely come loose. in the haynes manual it says there are o-rings on the heater core in/out tubes? there certainly weren't any that i could find. did the mechanic just not replace them, or does it really make a difference? i don't want to just tighten up the hoses and hope for the best if there's something else that goes in there.
