This is in my home. I live in the mountains above Denver, in what one would definitely call a "fringe area". I have a nice sound system with a good Sony receiver, and yet, even with the antenna for the AM signal, I get very poor reception. I have a little, tiny AM/FM Aiwa radio, about half the size of a pack of cigarettes, that I bought in Spain several years ago, that get's static-free reception. And it has a base boost on it that gives incredible sound when listening to music. There is no visible antenna. What gives?
