I got my fuel pump assembly. It turns out I broke the intake valve, not the check valve. The assmebly did in fact come with a new check valve. I called a local dealer to try to get a replacement for the valve I broke, and he says that that valve is not available and that only the check valve is available. He suggested I drill out a check valve to make an intake valve. This makes sense to me (except the part about the other valve not being available) and I figure I'll just drill the ball out of my old check valve. The only question in my mind is related to the fact that the valve that I broke had a pin on the end that can move in or out. It doesn't look like it makes a good seal though, and I'm not sure what its for. Any ideas? Suggestons? To drill or not to drill?
