1. Being a hazard on the roads. You lose conrtol you and a few others on the road DIE!!!
2. Un-necessary wear and tear on a good car. It is good to blow it out once and a while, but not a good standard driving practice.

I have a 93 9000 CSE (non turbo)58,000 miles on it. While stationed in Germany I bought it new and went to Sweden factory to pick up. I drove it on German autobon for 2 years. I never had to drive 170mph. NOT EVER!! the car performed beutifully. My experience with SAAB cars are they are not that stable at VERY high speeds unless you car is configured for the high speeds. My car, fitted with rear spoiler and aero kit, speed rated tires, seemed to be lifting off the ground and very loose. Those roads there are even built for high speed driving.

If you decide to drive you vehicle with excessive speeds, please don't do it on public roads. Go to a race track, no matter how good you think you can drive and how safe you think your car is, someone will eventually get in your path and the worst WILL happen... CRASH AND BURN!!

Be SAFE!! Not STUPID!!
