if you're a company that is ISO certified(which is anybody who is worth a darn) in the US, you do all your dimensions using metric measurements. ]

To be a vendor for any type BIG co., they won't even talk to you unless you're ISO. We went thru it three years ago to be able to do some work with Volvo truck making parts for the cab.

Imperial/Fractional are still used in a lot of 'old school' type manufacturing, but anybody that is doing anything serious is familiar with the metric system. Lots of times both systems are given, and, if you're like me, you've got a Copper Metal & Brass Sales conversion chart on your wall, and 25.4 mm = 1 in" tattoo'd on your hand :)
