On my '72 99e, I had exact problem of battery draining overnight and went through all the normal "fixes" as have been exhaustively described here. However, it turns out that (in my case) the problem was the very small overhead interior light switch above my left ear... :-)
There was a connection/grounding issue internally with it -- and even though I thought the switch was "off," -- it wasn't. Interior light was not on, but was still draining the battery -- and yes -- that was enough to do it overnight...
Asd soon as we cleaned/fixed the switch -- the battery-drain problem disappeared. Your mileage may vary. :-)
