I'm going the other way from Larry.
The B-engine pistons were super low compression and overkill.
Yes many things were different, but don't need to be.
You dont need the lambda, and it'll never provide enough enrichment.
The 8.x:1 compression should be fine for a turbo.
Easiest thing is to get a H block exhaust manifold,
turbo with integrated wastegate, and a custom downpipe.
Plumb the turbo oil in with a sandwich at the oil filter.
Knock in the WUR for more fuel,
replace the distributor with a retard one.
Then don't run to much boost with alcohol injection.
Set the boost at the wastegate or add APC.
Frankly though with all the trouble,
a 16v turbo or non turbo seams like an easier solution.
Knock a hole in the firewall, custom motor mount,
drop the whole thing in with a 5 speed and custom downpipe.
LH is light years ahead of the CIS (lambda or not...).
A 16v n/a will be reliable and get you to the base point of a B turbo.
