Yeah, those are the instructions I was looking at. If you strengthen the axle a bunch you might be able to get away with one axle and save some weight. I saw a bunch of small cars pulling large trailers when I was in Sweden (including a 9000 towing another 9000 on a trailer). It all depends on how flat the roads are...
You can probably get it down below 2400lb depending on what class you're going to run in. I think mine weighed 2120lb before I put on a fiberglass hood. My trailer is an 18' enclosed (keeps things dry and the snow off it) towed with a Ford Diesel van (better to move plywood and firewood than the C900 was). I was going to build my own trailer and try to get it as light as possible but decided to focus my efforts elsewhere and I got the enclosed trailer for a super deal.
