I went a little crazy putting the 16V into my '73 project car. Since this will primarily be a road racer, and since I've already put myself into basically the unlimited classes by ditching the original B-engine and K/D-Jet injection, I said 'what-the-heck' and positioned the engine about an inch lower and about 2" aft of stock.
I built the front mount to mate to a C900 primary cover meant for the pin mount hydraulic mount. The driver's side and front mounts use ice hockey pucks for a little compliance in the mount, and stock C900 pass. side mount and brackets with the rubber barrel mount, that some compliance is built into one of the mounts, and it will be super easy to use the C900 power steering components since the pump hangs off of the mounting bracket.
You can see on my firewall patch panel how much space there will be, there will be a T5 crank trigger wheel hung off the main pulley eventually, and I left myself enough space that I can change the belts even with the trigger wheel where the A/C pulley would normally go anyway.
Have a good rest o' the weekend!
Drew
