I have installed 1986 900 seats to my 1975 99LE. These are a bit lower in height and more comfortable. As seat rails of later model years are shorter in order to have more leg room for back seat occupants, I used a second set of rails. I took the lower part of the rails, sawed them to the right length and welded them to the rails of the seats. The work has been done while the rails are off the seats. Since than, every thing is just secured with the original bolts and fasteners of the driver's seat nechanism, just the way SAAB has made in original. Photos will not help here, as the rails look as if they ewer fabricated this way in Trollhattan.
