For some reason all original 78 99s turbo or not all have the fade to white syndrome.No other bumper does this.Even the rears are always black.Try using an enamel reducer to clean white off.I've had good luck doing this then keep a coating of tire foam on at all times and don't park in the sun.By all means do not paint with black paint!Hope this helps,Larry
