Hey Bob. I have a 99 that I converted some time ago. It's worked pretty well. Most of the issues that have come up have been due to lack of space. I would recommend going with a panel you can access the belts from while in the passenger compartment, as in the link below. My setup is an engine out belt job, for now. You'll probably also run into some interference between the alternator bracket and the brake booster. That's a bad rattle... You shouldn't have to modify the front engine mount. They're really sturdy.
My car: 86 900 16v, 17lb flywheel, 9000 clutch, first oversize Mahle turbo pistons, blueprinted rotating assembly, MegaSquirt ECU, water injected, ported 2.1L head, 3" turbo-back exhaust, 88 900 suspension and brakes, Bilstien shocks, 99 rally rack. It's been my project for the last 8 years...
