900 / 99 floorboard compatability

Needing to replace 2 sections of rusted floor on my 86 SPG, just behind the front seats. I have a 99 parts car that has good floor boards. Are the 99 & 900 the same at that part of the bodies? I'm hoping it would be easier to cut out & weld in to the 900 rather than fabricate from scratch, if they are the same.
thanks,
scott
