Kevin, Thanks for the information. I had read on this BB that the JC Whitney boots worked out well, so I have already purchased them and now have them in my possesion. Was it you who posted that advice? I had intended on banding the boots "somehow", and was unaware that a special tool would be needed. I'll take your advise and borrow it from Auto Zone. I also own a m72 99. It has a 2.0L engine and a four-speed chain-drive gearbox, with "tall" turbo gears. I did not install these updated modifications myself. They were done by the previous owner who is a professional rebuilder specializing SAAB and Volvo engines and gearboxes. My question to you is, do you know if the original length front driveshafts could have been retained, or would they had to have been replaced by ones of a different length in order to incorporate the modifications?
