I bought it off of ebay in early 2013 for about $3k. Let's say it hasn't been my best Saab investment since after a year of tinkering with it it still isn't right. Mike Serpe listed the car as just needing minor work and cosmetics, failing to mention things like the speedometer cable housing being absent, suspension bushings being all but absent, funky wiring from the starter terminal straight to the cold-start solenoid, etc.
The injectors were clogged, the WUR rusted solid, and leaking over 1qt/100 miles out the side of the oil pump, the wastegate was non-salvageable... you get the idea. I completed the transaction partly because I wanted a turbo 99 and partly just to rescue the poor thing before he added any more zip ties or snotty welding (the repro air dam fasteners got migged in).
Some new o-rings, bushings, CIS parts, and other stuff and it's finally *almost* a usable car. It went nicely under boost a few days back, I have to sort some tuning issues under part-throttle and then I can think about the bodywork and paint.
Gone also is the daft aftermarket driver's seat.
