Ignition distributor plug on wire harness Posted by Landjet [Email] (#16) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Landjet) on Sat, 9 Nov 2019 19:02:37 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
For the years 1978 to say 1981, there was a two wire plug that went into the side of the distributor. The plug is a small rectangular male plastic connector with two female spade type electrical connectors that go into the body of the distributor.
Is there any aftermarket or similar BMW, Mercedes, VW or ? substitute for this connector with a pigtail? I found one from a Land Rover, but the part alone is about $100 and separating ( in other words ruining ) the rest of the ignition part isn't really feasible.
Thanks, and the Landjet thanks you as well. It needs a connector to connect up to the two wire, I'm abandoning the ignition system on the car that took it up to 166.661 mph and going back to reluctor type. I have enough hall sensor 8 valve distributors to keep a car running for 100 years, but no connector to go back to the two wire.......
