Obviously watching the auction it was a car that two people wanted, which is always what it takes to make an exciting auction. Any car can always be made better, but I think that one was pretty decent - when was the last time we saw a 99 in that sort of condition/mileage? If anyone knows the buyer, I just bought a box of parts (not here yet) that might have that front bumper chrome strip in it.
Let's just say that parts availability for the 99 is such that you'd be hard pressed to build a car that nice for $12,750. I've always been an advocate of buying the nicest car out there; it will be cheaper in the long run. So I would say it was a good buy.
Very nice to see 99s getting some attention.
Best,
Gary
