My '78 99L has quirky temp gauge behavior. When the car starts from cold, it warms up normally but as I continue to drive the temp gauge slowly rises but doesn't stabilize around the midway point. Instead it continues all the way up to the red line then when I'm about to pull over to check, it drops down to the normal range and stays there as long as the engine stays warm.
I've replaced the temp sender and while the wire that connects to the sender is stiff, everything else looks to be in good shape.
Anyone seen this before or have any tips on this?
Thanks!
