Made it down south... Posted by Dan [Email] (#2459) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Dan) on Fri, 6 Aug 2004 00:05:49 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Well, I made the first trip without a hitch...Driving from Utah to South Carolina in the '76 99 with a 16VT. I had that thing so loaded down with books and tools that the mudflaps were maybe 1/2 inch off the ground. Every good bump would relay the blubbering sound of those flaps flapping on the pavement. No visible wear, though. The SPG springs kept the car really solid. I made the trip in about 2 1/2 days. Not bad for close to 2300 miles. I got 24 mpg at an average speed of around 70 mph. Now I fly back and drive the 9000 out here. The fun never stops.
