Friday I did a full day drivers school w/ Cascade Sports Car Club at PIR in Portland,OR. WWHeeehooohttp://wwww ! ! Now I just want more ! All the suspension mods I've done seem to work well - my instructor commented that my car "Does handle well". Basically no push at all, I can get the tail out moderately - Instructors most common instruction was " go in deeper and don't brake so much". I don't really have enough power to use the suspension fully. And I hammered this 27 year old car for 125 miles and not a single problem. It never missed a beat and seemed happy to run to 6000+ RPM when the shift was inconvenient in a corner. I've changed the oil and set the timing this year. Was able to run up to about 90MPH at the end of the straights - My guess due to smaller diameter with the Hoosiers. Brakesa get pretty hot - such that the wheels were almost too hot for sustained skin contact - looks like I will have to follow thru with a turbo front airdam with the scoops ducted to the front backing plates. Biggest need is better seat and belts. It would be nice to figure a way for heel/toe with my size 13+ feet. Also would be nice to have a tach on top of the dash where I can see it. Does anyone know if you can run signal to two tachs at the same time?
