David, we've all paid more than we should have for used parts. I remember spending hours in junkyard trying to get some particular part off a car, under the guise of saving money, only to find that the part was cheaper new...some suspension parts are like that. Fuel pumps aren't like that. Just remember, they used the same pump for your car from '75 through something like '83 on the 900s. It may actually be later...it just has to be the larger bodied pump.
Good luck. Electrical stuff can be a pain, but the fuel pump circuit isn't too messy.
