That 3" metering plate was only on non lambda systems for saabs. I have heard of people with the h turbo motor installing the 3" metering plate to get more fuel and air flow, but not sure how well it works. The lambda is a closed loop system so it can self adjust to changes, while mine doesn't which lead me to the bit lower than desired mpg. Putting in the 3" metering plate without removing the lambda fuel distibuter and changing to a non lambda would change the volume of air and would cause big f/a ratio problems. There had been talk on the performance bb about using the larger metering plate with a 6 port fuel distributer pluging off one and adding in one injector, not sure how well this works or if I would want to take the time to do that if I was after more power in an 8v turbo motor.
