Got it - but another question

Thanks for the help, everyone - this board is always great.
Removal was easy once I knew what to look for. I've had bad luck with rusted bolts, but these were no problem. I even pulled the starter out between the exhaust pipes and the motor mount without difficulty...I did remove the rear bracket completely first, and that may have allowed easier maneuvering.
So my next question: the reason for the starter removal is that the solenoid has been sticking, and it finally froze (hammer taps didn't do it any more). The starter & solenoid was replaced only a couple years ago. Now that it's removed I will test the motor to make sure it operates, but assuming it's okay, is it just as easy to remove and replace just the solenoid, rather than the whole starter/solenoid assembly? Or am I better off just doing both?
