the header will add 10 horsepower..... Posted by DougM [Email] (#211) [Profile/Gallery] (more from DougM) on Fri, 17 Oct 2003 06:45:15 In Reply to: '76 99 EMS on the track again. >>>>, BobD, Thu, 16 Oct 2003 14:11:34 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
from what I've been told.
I have a single muffler on my 73...the rear muffler was eliminated and replaced with an ANSA dual chrome tip/resonated. It gives the exhaust a nice tone in my opinion.
My 74 had a header and ANSA tip also.....when the header rusted out, I went back to the stock manifold and noticed a great difference in power loss....ie. it was hard to spin the front tires.
I have a header on the 75.....and it will have an ANSA muffler and tail pipe which I won from ebay. I haven't got to drive it much since I've owned it to make comments on headers and k-jet.
I would also suggest to coat the header with POR15 high temp paint to keep it looking good through it's lifetime.
