The tranny on my 99t went out on the highway. Lots of ca-chunk and squealing noises before I could get it off the freeway and slowed down. At about 20mph the whole tranny seized up on me. Ive got a spare tranny, but before swapping it out, I was hoping to get some advice. Before swapping should I have the spare tranny rebuilt? Any specific recommendations? Does anyone have a source to have a 99t 4spd tranny rebuilt? Any successes along these lines? Any info. relative to this major repair of my 99t would be appreciated!
