but I had to delete the messages as they put me over my limit. I saved then to a folder though and loaded them to an album on saabpics.
It looks doable, as all rust can be repaired. That tar pad in the trunk has got to go. A propane torch, a putty knife, and hours of scraping is what it needs. Once you get the heavy stuff off, use kerosene or brakekleen to remove the residue. Then you can attack the rust holes with grinders, cause the tar is not grindable.
The left front fender rust looks like there is gonna be some holes on the lip. Best thing to do there is buy a repair panel from the dealer and cut out the rusted section and replace what is needed. It's alot easier than trying to form the factory lip with sheet metal or bondo. The RR quarter has some suspect waviness/bubbling to it also....above where the rust hole is. I'd like to see more pics once you take a grinder to it. Alot of the other rust looks to be surface only. Grind it and then treat it with Extend or I prefer POR15, even though I have no long term use with the stuff yet, they claim it will seal the rust forever. Of course you will have to paint over the stuff as they don't make it in cream color.
You're fortunate to have a light colored car to start your first body work project, cause white/cream will hide alot of your mistakes.
For $300, you did pretty good. A few thousand $$$$ and you can have a very near mint 99.
