I asked this question years ago but got no answer. My father used to have a 73 99E, but I can't find any history of that particular year 99E. There is no literature anywhere proving the cars existance. My dads 73 was yellow with tweed brown interior, AC(dealer), nothing in place of the tach/clock pod in the instrument cluster, and it had the old round hole steel wheels. It was definantly a 99E complete with original paint. It was sold by a shady body man twelve years ago who apparently sold other customer cars and ran to Mexico. My dad paid the guy in full before the work was done, and he painted it the wrong color. It was after he demanded to have the job done right did the guy dissapear with the car.
Anyway, does anyone know the how of these were made? Was this a euro model by any chance?
