If this car has the early radiator (the one w/ the single wire sensor in the upper rad outlet), you can pop the tiny cover off the side and adjust the fan switch. I have mine turned down so it kicks on at the high side of "N". Also, I installed a 9000 A/C fan on the front of the rad and wired it to my no -longer functioning rear defroster relay. Works great in this 100F Boise heat. Of course, you may just have a cracked head...
