Thom,
I have not done it, yet I believe there might be a problem placing in a 900 rack..(anyone out there no for sure?) I left my 99 rack in, and there was a problem of the engine touching the area with the lines entering the rack. I then had to move the engine forward.
As for the electrical, it is not hard//i placed in the entire 900 electrical wiring. The fuse box fits nicely into the driver's hub. The wires I shortened a bit, clip them to the heater box, and had them come straight across to the injectors. As for the instruments lights, One just have to srudy the back of the 99 guages, cut the connectors off of the 900 instruments connectors and run wires directly. A book is needed, and soem wires happen to be the same colour code.
With electrical, it is important not to be sloppy...to solder and heat shrink, not twist and tape. This is where the danger of shorts and fire develop.
