depends on what you consider daily driving. How far, the wear and tear of the vehicle, your location (hot or cold climate) and more. Certain parts of a 99 are no longer available, such as windows and bumpers. We all search eBay, online part suppliers and more to keep them running. Most mechanics don't know or don't remember how to work on them so you'll have to find someone who does if you can't do the wrenching.
But... I've been restoring one for the past 3 yrs with the help of everyone on this bulletin board and around the world and I wouldn't change it for the world. I drive mine everyday. I don't think we can tell you yes or no it can be the daily one, but I'll tell you one thing. You'll be joining a wonderful family of 99 lovers around the world.
Search the 99 board for anything you might think of, and you'll have a lot stuff to read.
