Doug,
Could you not cut out the 78t/ems roof four inches or so from the opening and then weld that section into the roof? the attachments for the rear on the beam could be taken care of with some brackets welded on to the roof underside. I would guess that the beam is already there in my 99. I think what I need to do is talk to ScanWest Auto Body about this swap. They would probably have a good idea how to accomplish this the easiest way.
