I'm currently running the 73 without a gasket, only using anaerobic sealer + I used the spray activator too. The combination of the two makes the sealer dry like concrete, and it's not easy removing the manifold(or scraping the stuff off either)...I ran it without a gasket for a few years already, but have had the intake off a few times since the first install(took it off for a few water pump attempts).
If I had a gasket, I would use the anaerobic sealer without the activator. Not uncommon for either of the mating surfaces to have some pitting.
