Hey Guys: 93 suspension from 93into74 99??? (long) Posted by Zaab [Email] (#685) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Zaab) on Thu, 15 Feb 2007 06:48:46 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My buddy who loves his 1974 99 ripped out the engine, rebuilt an 1980 900T engine, put it on top of an 87 900 five-speed, and then...
Had to move to AZ from MA...its been sitting in storage for a year up in MA.
The engine is kind of in...he is sure he has to bash in the fire wall, but I have told him that I saw a beautiful orange 99 with a 900 engine last summer at SOC....had a jaguar motor mount in the front to tilt the engine forward.
OK Question:
There's a 93 900 in the junk yard that I have access to...and would want to know (before taking this 99 out of storage and into my 1 stall garage) if there are ways to replace the front suspension (hub, drivers, CVs, control arms) with the 93 900's suspension??????????????
This is the only way I can imagine this transplant to work....entire transplant of the engine and the drive/suspension...and then of course I can put on different wheels...although he does have aztecs on it.
Separately, If this is just way too much work for me...I may be selling it for my friend.
Thanks for the input.
