So you're saying that moisture can't escape from the little recessed space under the trunk floor where the sender unit lives? Instead of making a dome with epoxy and putting the wires through it, couldn't I just make a shim so that the metal cap that covers the recess hole doesn't seal all the way around, and I'd just leave the wires where they are?
I take it you also mean that there's some corrosion on the wires and/or connectors on the sender unit. I'll have to clean them off. Am I right in assuming the ground is the one at the very aft end of the trunk floor, on the fore-aft cross bar?
Luckily, I'm in the habit of resetting my trip odometer whenever I fill up, just as a back up for such a problem, so I have a guesstimate of how much gas I have left. :)
