Back in 2003, a few days before the Hershey convention, I happened to pull the valve cover from the 75EMS that I did a partial restoration on (bodywork and paint). The chain was noticeably loose, so I decided to pull the engine to have a look see. I rented an engine hoist friday after work, pulled the engine and removed the timing cover, and noticed there was plenty of adjustment left on the tensioner. I re-adjusted the tensioner, slapped the cover back on, then re-installed the engine. I had everything hooked up and running by noon saturday afternoon(yes I did sleep friday night).............so, even if you need to yank the engine to check the tensioner, as opposed to trying to get at the tensioner with the engine in the car, it's still not alot of work.
