how to install cruise control in a 99

I have fitted a 900 cruise control in my 99. I have fitted the back part of a 900 speedometer to the front part of a 99 speedoemeter, to make it possible to connect the speed signal wire and the speed signal sensor.
The cruise control works perfectly, however I cannot get the right speed at my speedometer (15 miles to little).
I have heared that I can connect the speed signal wire to the speed cable of a 99 turbo. This cable has a little box in between with 3 connections. Does anybody know how I should connect this? On the little box it shows "-", "w" and "+". The speed signal cable has only 2 connections. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Thom
