IT'S RUNNING! BUT.....(long) Posted by BAAB [Email] (#1214) [Profile/Gallery] (more from BAAB) on Sat, 8 Nov 2008 15:53:09 In Reply to: It wont be long now :-), BAAB [Profile/Gallery] , Fri, 7 Nov 2008 14:23:13 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
It's not running very good. It took me a about an hour to work the fuel into the fuel system so that it would run for any length of time. It only runs if my foot is in the gas pedal almost all the way down. Also, when it does run, it is running very rough. I noticed that there are some vacuum lines that are not connected. Is there a chart somewhere that shows where all the vacuum lines should be going to and from? I think it might run better if I can get the vacuum lines properly connected. Since this was the first time the car has run since 1988, I was watching everything closely, and the temp gauge rose to the middle pretty fast. As it rose, I had the heater on so I could check if coolant is properly flowing through the cooling system. I never felt warm air at all, so I think I need to replace the thermostat before starting it again. I did not see any leaks, so that's encouraging. If I can get some help with where the vacuum lines should be, that will get me to the next step. Thanks!
