So...I had to jump-start my 99 this morning, it being 0 degrees and all. So, this evening, when I leave for work, I notice that the dashboard lights seem a little brighter than usual.

Then I notice that the headlights seem a little brighter than usual - especially when the car is over 2000rpm...

So, being paranoid, this evening I put the meter on it, and lo and behold, when I check with the engine running, I get 17 volts (!)

While I like the brighter lights and all - this seems like it is probably a bad thing.

What do you guys think - bad voltage regulator?
