My BW35 transmission on my '79 Saab is actually working fine except it leaks really bad. As long as I keep the transmission fluid topped off, it actually works just fine, but it is leaking way too fast to drive now. It looks like the fluid is leaking from somewhere close to where the torque converter is. Is there a common, known problem with these transmissions that make them leak like this? Is it something a decent home mechanic can fix? Thanks!
