Brian,
Quite easy really. Find a long peice of 3/8" rope and work it under the gasket from the inside. The corners will be tricky but with the help of an old screwdriver or a dull narrow scraper you will work it in. As you peel back the rubber make sure to break the bond between the gasket and the frame as you go. After you get all the way around it's time to start GENTLY pushing out (from the inside) again working your way around. Aftera a couple laps it will pop out surprisingly quickly.
If your replacing the windshield, concider taking it to a pro. They do this all day and you don't have to worry about cutting or breaking anything.
Goodluck,
Jonathan
