You won't have any quality issues with the parts you get from Chip OR Jack (or MSS.) The mass-market parts houses are another matter. It's not so much that there's anything wrong with THEM, as that they don't have enough Saab experience to know which OEMs are good and which aren't.
Even a lot of the items you might get from Ford Industrial Power dealers anymore aren't actual Ford parts -- they have to get them from wherever they're available. For example, the last head gaskets I bought from a Ford Industrial dealer were the Payen brand, made in South America, and sourced through the Massey-Ferguson tractor parts system(?!)
Personally, even on a low-buck rebuild, I would hate to get the engine back in the car and then discover I had to do the job over because I had used a cheapo gasket set.
