Outers are in the Motorsports Services (Jack Lawrence) pricelist, and may be available from others as well. If I were you, I wouldn't replace them until I had ruled out other possibilities. Why not? They're less likely than the inners to be the source of the problem you describe; they're expensive; and you can do them without removing the transaxle, so there's no particular reason to do them now instead of later. (Knocking noise while turning is a more common early symptom of outer U-joint problems.)

It's true that wear in the inner driver cups can cause vibration when accelerating. Usually it's not really the bearing caps that are worn, it's the inner surface of the driver cup. With the bearing cap pressing on the same spot for 30-odd years, eventually the contact area of the driver cup can become noticeably "dished" and this will cause vibration as the bearing cap rides up and down the dished part. You can feel this worn spot with your finger just by running it up and down the flat inner surface of the driver cup. It won't be very deep, but it'll feel like a definite dip.

Easy fix: Swap the inner drivers side-for-side -- pull them out, move the left one to the right side of the transaxle and vice-versa. This moves the worn surface from the "push" side to the "pull" side, where it doesn't have to take any force, and you're good to go for another 30 years or so.

I suppose it would be possible to weld new metal inside the cup to fill out the worn area, then polish it out to being exactly flat again, but I've never looked into it.
