Ok. Time for a change of approach on my behalf.
Are you aware how few 93Fs were actually built at all? They were made for a very very brief period of time, when the factory in Trollhättan were getting ready to introduce the Saab 96 as a replacement to the 93. It is definitely the rarest of the 93s (although arguably not the best looking) and at least here in Sweden represents a great monetary and emotional value if in good shape. Not quite up there with the GT750/MC850 cars, but close.
If you have such a body in virtually rust free condition, and you do in fact convert it it anything but 2-stroke ... you're spitting in the face of Saab rebuilders and aficionados worldwide. You might say that to Saab people, what you're about to do approximately equals taking rarity such as a '63 split window Corvette, and dropping an engine from a Subaru Impreza into it during rebuild.
Using the 850cc engine instead of the 750cc is "acceptable", from a historic point of view - since it was a common modification already in the 60s.
But if you're planning ANY other thing... I BEG you to at least use a 93A or 93B body instead. If it were in Sweden, I'm sure you could trade your 93F body straight off for an already rebuilt and resprayed 93B. Yes they are that rare! I should think the situation is similar in the US.
