best way to do a valve adjustment... Posted by patquin [Email] (#9) [Profile/Gallery] (more from patquin) on Tue, 26 Apr 2005 16:13:13 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I'm getting ready to check the valves on my V4 ( by the sound, I can tell one of them needs it), and I'm wondered if there is a "best way"? Also, if you read Haynes and Chilton, they don't get into enough detail. I don't understand the term "rock". Does that mean the valve clearance opens and closes? So setting the "lash" is setting the gap at its maximum or minimum?
This is the kind of thing that happens to us "lone-ranger" V4 owners who do all their own work, but our only education is from manuals and Saabnet posts!!!
