Hello Dave,kansas & Kskid,
Dave, have you looked into Ford Capri 2300/2600cc V-6 valves? As you may know the 1498cc and 1698cc V-4 engines are basically 2/3 of the 2300cc and 2600cc V6 engines.
Other than the open-deck/closed deck versions of the blocks, I have been told that one only has to change the crankshafts to go from one V-4 version to the other (swap the crank out of a 1698cc and install in a 1498cc engine to end up with a 1698cc engine or vise versa).
