Bob, it's been at least 25 years since I've had a stroker, but I had four or five in my time. I now have a 70 96 v4, which has some aspects which make me long for a stroker again. When I first got my V4, I imagined what a cool conversion the disk brake and T-joint setup would make to a stroker.
At the time it seemed to me that it should be a straight across bolt on, but thinking later, one should check the splines on a v/4 output shaft with
those of the stroke, (the end of the inner cvjoint that go into the tranny), they may have beefed up the V4 shaft. If so, you whould have to changge something on the inside of the tranny to match, I dont know what.
but I'm sure that switch could be done. Later, I developed a thumping in my drive train, and I decided the T-joint had worn to the point where it was making a racket. In the process, I tried to switch both t-joints from
side to side, but got into so much trouble dislodging the t-joint, and then the coil spring slipped off the lower A-arm, and it ended up being so much trouble that I had to give up on it when winter came on. I have no garage! Anyway, I got both cv joints lubed but I've still got a knock from
somewhere, so sometimes maybe it is better to count your blessings with what youve got! Just my busted knuckle opinion. Good Luck!
