Need some Weber 34ICH install help

Okay, so I've gotten hold of a '71 V4, one of the black years with a decel valve. The FoMoCo carb that was on it has got to go (somebody buggered up the choke and fast idle linkages beyond repair) and I have a nice new Weber 34ICH (manual choke) from West of Sweden to go on it.
Problem: How do I get this to coexist with the existing PCV valve? The PCV sticks up so far that once I put the hose back on, the choke lever will hit the hose. Chip at WOS says you can just bend the choke linkage rod to make it clear, but I've done that and it doesn't solve the problem -- it's not the rod, it's the linkage to which the rod attaches.
Anybody know how to make this work? Is there a shorter PCV valve that can be used, or can the PCV be relocated at a different angle? Thanks for any info...
