...I bought an Accel kit. I have enough in there to make 3 sets of wires. I could give a rats A$$ about the 90 degree bend on the alt, as long as the car is running properly. It will never be a show car, just a fun car. I won't get hung up on stupid little details like a plug boot.
I used the Accel 8mm cores. I bought a pliers type crimper. It all works great. If you are really worried about the wire, re-use the old 90 degree boot on a new Accel wire.
My $0.02. Your mileage may vary.
