The first thing I would look for is air in the hyd system. You can not bleed the system by pumping the pedal. You have to apply constant pressure to the master cylinder (5 lbs should do it) then open the bleeder on the slave cyl long enough for the line to clear completely. You can accomplish the same result by applying vacuum to the bleeder on the slave cyl.
When the car is cold the fluids are thicker, this makes the clutch fluid slightly more effective and the cold transmission oil creates slightly more drag on the gears to reduce their tendency to turn. You still might have a problem with the disc not releasing due to heat expansion when hot.
